Santa Claus [aka Chris Dobson] and his helpers came to the harbour on 13 December to deliver part of the  1200 parcels wrapped for the Share your Christmas with a Seafarer Project.  He met crew members from 10 ships which were in port at the time. All were happy and Santa [and the gifts] were received with great pleas

SYCS is such a worthy project organised by all the Missions and although the gifts are small, the personal touch and thoughts ensure that the seafarers are not forgotten although they are far from families and loved ones.

Santa’s work is not done in the harbour, however. On 23 December, more gifts are taken to ships at outer anchorage. Let’s hope for calm seas!
