“You yourselves are a letter of recommendation, written on your hearts, to be known and read by all men; and you show that you are a letter from Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the Living God, not on tablets of stone but on the tablets of human hearts.”
2 Corinthians 3:3, RSV
A letter can be read again and again. We often write a letter to someone to be sure that they have the facts, and they know what we’re trying to say to them. But Paul is telling us that we ‘are’ a letter and we don’t necessarily have to say anything. They will be ‘looking at the good change in our hearts’
